We are District 130
Carl Fitzsimmons understands that our region deserves representation that listens locally and leads boldy.
NYPAN
I am honored to have received the endorsement of the New York Progressive Action Network. I appreciate their hard work advocating for communities across our state. Thank you NYPAN!!
NYHA
I am proud and grateful to have received this ‘candidate distinction‘ for our campaign. For decades we have been advocating and organizing for universal health care. This simply has been a major issue for us for decades. We need this solution now more than ever.
-
Guarantees healthcare for every New Yorker.
-
Saves New Yorkers money.
-
Expands care to include dental, hearing, vision, long term care and more.
-
Covers prescriptions
-
You choose the doctors and hospitals you want.
We will need to align People Power – Street Power along with Electoral Power by electing me. Together we can get this on the Governors desk the first year.
Center for Freethought Equality
I am also honored to have received the endorsement from the Center for Freethought Equality.
In their own words: “We are pleased to tell you that the Center for Freethought Equality PAC has endorsed your campaign.”
“Carl “Butch” Fitzsimmons is running for the New York Assembly in District 130. He has an opponent in the Democratic primary on June 23. The Republican incumbent, who won in 2024 with 64% of the vote, is not seeking re-election. Fitzsimmons is a veteran who built a career in computer hardware and software engineering. He also served his community as Chair of the Town of Sodus and Town of Webster Democratic Committees, a member of the Sodus Point Planning Board, a small-business owner, an assistant scout leader, a youth sports coach, and a longtime Science Olympiad mentor and judge. His policy priorities include strong public schools, cost effective healthcare, infrastructure investment, and government accountability. Fitzsimmons is an agnostic and humanist.”

CITIZEN FOCUSED LEADERSHIP
Too often, Albany politics feels disconnected from the everyday realities of District 130. Families are facing rising taxes, overwhelming costs of living, strain on public schools, and frustration with political gridlock.
I am running to give the people of Wayne County and Webster a strong, independent voice — one guided by the needs of our communities, not party insiders or ideological extremes. True leadership means thinking independently, working together, and always being accountable to the people we serve.
I WILL:
I will protect working families, seniors, the disabled & all residents of the 130
Support small businesses, family farms and local jobs
Fight for strong public schools
I will be a strong voice for you in Albany
I will work with you — putting solutions over politics, and District 130 first.
